In this post I’ll share some new products I purchased right before the sale and my ride or die products I can’t live without! If you’ve been spending a little more time on self-care, I’m right there with you. I still wear makeup at home a few times a week (just for fun/when we do photoshoots) but I’ve been way more focused on finding some new hair & skincare products to add to my “quarantine routine”!
I’ve struggled with acne and scarring for several years now, so I was looking for a product that would help remove scars. I found this on Sephora’s website and after reading through the reviews I had to try it. (800 reviews, almost 5-stars!) I’ve only been using it for a week but it feels so LUXE for only $10! The rose hip oil is a rich amber color, thick and luxurious so you feel like you’re getting a spa treatment. Use it once a day before bed and you’ll wake up to baby soft skin! (I’ll need to keep using it to see if it will help with my acne scars – but so far it’s a win just based on the moisturizing qualities!)
If you’ve ever had acne or texture issues, you NEED to try this face mask! It’s my holy-grail face mask that I literally can’t live without. If I ever feel a bad breakout coming or if I’ve been outside sweating (especially during the summer) I put this face mask on and it SAVES my skin. The micro-beads exfoliate your skin and leave it feeling brand new. It also smells divine and you can use it as a facial scrub in the shower if you need a fast fix!
I read an article recently that hair health starts at the scalp (who knew?) and ever since being quarantined, I realize how badly I need a haircut! My hair has been pretty dry and unruly, so I decided to purchase this Scalp Scrub Shampoo. The benefit of a scalp scrub is that it promotes hair growth by cleansing the scalp from buildup, which means your hair can grow faster! While I can’t say I’ve seen any growth yet, I can tell you that after using it one time my hair felt stronger, looked shinier and overall felt very clean. I only wash my hair about once a week so I’m using this as my actual “shampoo” (curly hair girls will get this!) but you can use it as a weekly treatment to keep your scalp healthy and clean.
I use this eyeshadow palette almost every single day! I love all the brown, burgundy and metallic shades which works wonders to show off the greenish/brown shades in my hazel eyes. The colors are super easy to blend, too!
My foundation is one of those things that’s been a process of trial and error. I love full-coverage makeup for my face and this foundation is the best one I’ve tried. It’s lightweight, silky and doesn’t clog my pores. It’s a bit pricey but SO worth it…I’ve learned the hard way, trust me! For anyone with acne prone skin this foundation is fabulous and covers every single blemish.
How gorgeous is this packaging? Leave it to Rihanna to create a makeup line that works and looks good while doing it. This setting powder is one of the game-changing products that you need in your makeup drawer! It comes in several shades (including translucent) and appears to airbrush your skin by adding a glow-from-within finish. It doesn’t settle into creases and will make your skin look flawless!
This concealer is very similar to the TARTE Shape Tape Concealer but easier to blend! One of the sweet ladies at Sephora recommended it to me months ago and I just ordered another bottle. It covers up those nasty dark circles and goes on like a dream!
I’m so excited because this best-selling mini kit was just restocked from Christmas! Matt gave me this lip duo for my birthday (back in December) and “pillowtalk” is now my favorite lip color! It’s a beautiful spiced rose shade that’s slightly pink/nude. The lipliner is surprisingly buttery, rich in color and actually more versatile then the lipstick (which I still love and use almost daily). For only $25 this is a steal for both products!
If you’ve made it this far, congratulations! This was such a fun post – I hope you enjoyed it and found some new goodies to grab during the Sephora Savings Event! (Don’t forget to use code “SPRINGSAVE” at checkout!)
Stay safe everyone and enjoy your week!
