Welcome to my office! It’s been just over a month since Matt and I decorated this space and I’m so excited to finally have a blog post to share with you all. Since everyone has been staying at home to avoid spreading COVID-19, my home content has been so popular that I wanted to devote an entire post to it. Don’t worry, because I’ll still be sharing TONS of clothing ideas with you on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and Instagram even as my home content continues to grow! (We’re talking about decorating our master bedroom next…let me know what you’d like to see in the comments!)
When I was conceptualizing my office, three words came to mind: cozy, warm and neutral. I wanted the room to feel cozy, have a warm look/feel and be fairly neutral since I knew I would be taking lots of photos in here! I also find that I like a neutral palette in the spaces where relaxation and focus are my priority. If you’ve seen my latest IGTV video where we gave our patio a makeover, you know that it’s a very different story! I wanted the outdoor space to be colorful and bold while most of our indoor spaces are neutral and light.
My office also doubles as my closet, so I wanted options for storage and organization. I purchased this white 4-cube organizer from Target so I could store some of my prettier items below (like faux flowers, sunglasses, bags, etc) and set my jewelry on top. This set up would also look adorable with a vanity mirror on top instead of art if you don’t have a full length mirror in the same room. (The “creativity” wall art is from Homegoods.)
For organization, I purchased a jewelry stand and headband holder both from Amazon! I love that I can set down my rings on top of the built-in tray because it keeps all my items in one place. The headband holder also has multiple uses (like a center compartment) and comes with an additional acrylic container that I store earrings and hair clips in. (see below)
Out of all my office decor, the #1 most popular item has been my velvet rolling chair! Yes, it is incredibly comfortable and worth every penny (even Matt doesn’t want to leave when he sits down on it)! For under $200 this chair feels luxe and overall makes the room feel complete. I didn’t want my office to go too “glam” but I felt like this chair struck a good balance between feminine and edgy.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
